What We Know About Rowan
Rowan is a snuggly, cheerful dog with a giant smile that’s starting to make regular appearances.
Until recently, that smile was hiding behind a “please give me space” act—his way of handling abandonment in a world that was too big and out of control.
He still gets that act out occasionally, but less and less. Once Rowan knows he’s safe, he’s all soft edges and happy energy—affectionate, bouncy, and genuinely joyful to be around. He leans right in for big scratches, has done well in doggie play group with gentle interest in other dogs, and settles into an easy rhythm walking by his human’s side.
Rowan is a dog on the upswing—the kind where you can almost watch the confidence growing day by day. Are you the one who will see him really blossom?
All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!
To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.
About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services. We help keep people and pets together and connect strays with future families.
