Meet Blaze. This big, dopey guy is trying—he just hasn’t had anyone show him how to be part of the group.

Blaze wants a person of his own: someone he can love and trust, who can help him expand his social circle. Because once he bonds, he can get skeptical of everyone else, including his doggy neighbors.

In playgroup, he’s shown a particular interest in the ladies but is redirectable with guidance (and now that he’s neutered, that may help too). On leash, he can be unsure around other dogs—sometimes curious, sometimes concerned. Shelter life doesn’t do him any favors there, so we’d love to see him learning in a calmer environment.

What Blaze needs is someone patient and steady: a person who can offer clear, calm guidance, teach him better manners, and show him that the world isn’t out to get him. The good news is that he’s open to people, eager for connection, and ready to learn.

If you’re willing to put in a little work, you’ll get to watch him figure things out—and that’s a pretty great thing to be part of.
