Meet Valerie, a gorgeous, smart, and independent girl who is ready to find a home that appreciates her spark. She loves the idea of toys and enjoys chasing them, even if she’s still figuring out what to do once she catches them. Valerie is very food motivated and quickly picks up new skills, especially when treats are involved! She’ll happily work with you and show off how clever she is. She’s been practicing loose leash walking and building engagement with her handler, and she’s catching on fast.

Valerie enjoys gentle attention and will accept pets during quiet “drive-by” moments, but she prefers to set the pace as she gets to know new people. At this time, she would likely do best as the only pet in the home so she can fully relax and shine, though we always encourage a meet and discussion with staff to find the right fit. With her intelligence, independence, and beautiful presence, Valerie is ready for a loving home that will help her thrive!
