Here's Barkley's Story

What We Know About Barkley
Barkley is a handsome, fun-loving guy who was lucky enough to spend a short time in a foster home. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on leash without much pulling. He loves being near his person, soaking up pets, and occasionally pretending he’s a lap dog. Barkley enjoys toys, can entertain himself, and has medium-high energy but knows how to settle down when the fun is over. In play group he's a lot like a young pup and benefits from the example of mature and stable dogs rather than the party animals. Barkley is a thoughtful guy who prefers to make the first move, but once he decides you’re part of his circle, he’s happy to stick close and be your sidekick. His foster home said he's a fun guy to be around and that Barkley is ready to make himself at home with his forever family.

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match.
